Students who would like to take classes at a different institution using federal benefits needs to provide a Transient Letter from the University of Alabama verifying the courses you would like to take at another institution can be transferred to the University of Alabama. The form can be accessed on the Student tab of myBama, under the Official Documents section.

  • Our office needs a copy of this completed Transient Student Letter.
  • The second form needed is the Transient Course Approval Form.
  • Turn in the Transient Student Letter and the Transient Course Approval Form to the Office of Veteran and Military Affairs to 3000 Houser Hall, fax to 348-5804, or send it through the VMA Student Document Upload portal on your myBama.
  • Also turn in an Enrollment Verification form. This form can be accessed on the Student tab of myBama, under the Official Documents section.
  • Contact the school in which you are taking classes outside of The University of Alabama, and verify what paperwork is needed for you to be certified by their school.
