    Update 11/28/2016

    Post 9/11 Spring Students:

    Your Spring Bills are now posted.  The new billing system will allow Student Account Services to offer you a payment plan that will consider your military benefits and the expectation of receiving those funds.  In order to take advantage of this payment plan option, you must go to your “MY BAMA” account and complete your enrollment by signing up for the Payment Plan option that will be available to you as a Post 9/11 GI Bill student.

    Post 9/11 Students Payment Plan Instructions:

    1. Log onto myBama
    2. Click Student Tab
    3. Under Student Services Box: Click $ (Dollar Sign)
    4. Accept Enrollment
    5. At the top of the page click “Payment Plan”
    6. A drop down box will appear with Spring term 
    7. A payment plan option will open with your ENTIRE SPRING BILL and will say “Veteran and Military Payment Plan”- If this is not an option email vma@bama.ua.edu
    8. Click “Display Schedule” at the bottom
    9. This is you agreeing that YOU OWE anything outside of tuition and course fees by March 10th (Example: Dinning Dollars, Parking, and Housing)
    10. Press Continue
    11. Click I Agree
    12. And your payment plan is complete
    13. VA funds will not appear until the VA pays after Drop/Add. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE to find the amount you owe outside of tuition and course fees.

    Please note: Your GI Bill  does not cover your bill in full, you will be responsible for any funds still due (meal plan, housing, parking pass, etc.). If you do not make this payment then your account will be assessed late payment fees and you may be prevented from registering for classes in future terms until such time as the balance is paid in full. You may pay on your account at any time for funds owed outside what the GI Bill pays prior to the VA paying on your tuition and fees.

    Update 7/11/2016

    Post 9/11 Fall Students:

    Zero certification begins 7-11-16.  The Office of Veteran and Military Affairs will certify you for zero tuition and fees in order for your direct deposit of book money to be processed  by the Veterans Administration as quickly as possible. We certify tuition and fees after add/drop. This will not affect your student bill.

    Update 5/25/16

    Post 9/11 Summer Student Bill:

    If you are Post 9/11 student you are responsible for ANYTHING that is not tuition and fees (example: DINNING DOLLARS, Parking, etc). In order to pay only what you OWE please follow the instructions below:

    1. Log onto myBama
    2. Click Student Tab (Left Side now)
    3. Under Student Services Box: Click $ (Dollar Sign)
    4. Select “Make a Payment”
    5. Select “Make Next Installment”
    6. In EITHER box you can clear the amount and put the desired amount you would like to pay (it will give you the total, you can change this)
    7. Then Select Payment Method
    8. Once your VA payment has arrived it will be placed on your account for TUITION and FEES

    Late fees will not be removed from any account that has a balance outside of tuition and fees
