Work Study

Every semester the Office of Veteran and Military Affairs opens applications for VA work study. These work study options are only open to students using FEDERAL benefits (Not Alabama GI Bill®). The number of open positions differs every semester and is not guaranteed for every student that applies.

VA work study:

• The student must be currently using GI Bill® benefits.
• Job openings will be announced on Instagram at @bamavma with instructions on how to apply.
• Students must have at least 15 hours availability to work with maximum of 25 hours a week.
• VA pays the student every 50 hours.
• Students are paid $7.25 (tax free) every 50 hours with VA processing time.
